Andreina D. Figueroa, in the Miami office, serves as Government Affairs Director for the Advocacy and Government Affairs group at Tew Cardenas LLP focusing on local and state advocacy.
For the past four years, Ms, Figueroa has successfully lobbied the Florida Legislature for many clients. She has managed to secure over $30 million in funding for numerous clients and has worked on some of the most contentious issues. She has been able to establish great working relationships with committee staff and legislators on both sides of the aisle. Ms. Figueroa has also positioned clients to provide services and products to local governments and businesses in Florida.
Prior to joining Tew Cardenas, Ms. Figueroa was Special Assistant to Florida Governor Jeb Bush. She managed the Governor's Miami office overseeing Broward, Collier, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties. Ms. Figueroa was responsible for all of the gubernatorial visits to the South Florida Region. As the Governor's liaison, Ms. Figueroa participated in meetings with local elected officials and state agencies as well as tracked legislation and provided briefings. She also was the coordinator for the Governor's Financial Oversight Board, where she was the liaison between the Governor's Office and the City of Miami. In addition, Ms. Figueroa was Commission Aide to then Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman, Senator Gwen Margolis. She was responsible for performing policy research and document preparation, attending departmental meetings, and preparing the order of the day for the Commission meetings, which included time certain items. Ms. Figueroa graduated from Florida International University with a B.A., in Political Science and a minor in Public Administration. Ms. Figueroa is fluent in Spanish. She is a member of the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Florida Association of Professional Lobbyist and a Junior Director of the Latin Builders Association. |
