Frank A. Ramos | Directors

Frank Ramos has had involvement in the Information Technology industry at multiple levels for the past 17 years.  During this time, Frank was able to apply the knowledge and wisdom gained through numerous entrepreneurship projects in the past, as well as the expertise developed during his focus on an MBA.

In 1990, Frank Ramos began working with TMR Computers, a South Florida software development company, as the Vice President of Business Development.  His role was to expand client base in South Florida and partners in South America.  During his time at the company, there was a steady growth in both clients and required staffing to uphold the commitments being made.

Based on his footing and exposure with local business and IBM, he was courted by M & J Technologies.  In 1993, he followed the opportunity and secured the position of Executive Vice President for M & J Technologies, a $ 600,000 a year business.  His responsibilities were that of full internal corporate operations, sales force development, and business development.  By close of 1997, business revenues exceeded $ 3.5 million per year.

As it had occurred in the past, due to exposure and his reputation, Frank was contacted by Inter-American Data (IAD), an Atlanta based IBM Premier Partner, to open an office and run full operations in South Florida with future expansion to South America and the Caribbean.  In 1997, IAD had established a presence in Coral Gables, Florida.  This phase of growth began with Frank acting as sales person, sales support, accounting, etc.  Mid 1999, the IAD Florida office had grown to 2 technical representatives, 2 sales persons, and 1 sales support, all under the direction of Frank.  The client base in a period of 2 years was developed from no clients to a base of approximately 50 clients.  Through the assembled team and Frank’s direction, 2003 closed at $ 8 million of revenue.

Early 2004, Frank was advised that IAD corporate was being acquired by a larger organization and the IAD Florida office was not in plan for acquisition.  Following his entrepreneurship spirit, he meet with the current IAD Florida team and advised them of this but also advised that a new corporation would be formed and the operations would continue.  All members of the IAD Florida office agreed to join in this new venture.  This marked the birth of Interamerica Data Florida, LLC (IDF).

Since 2004, IDF has seen growth in areas not only in revenue but in personnel and presence in the South Florida community.  Frank’s current role at IDF is that of Chief Financial Officer and Director of Sales.  He, along with 2 associates, runs the daily operations of the business both internally and externally.

During all this time of business growth, Frank has dedicated time to guiding and supporting his family.  He lives in Miami with his wife, Elena Ramos, who together have raised 2 sons and are currently enjoying a granddaughter.
