Rafael Reyes | Directors
Rafael Reyes was born in Holguin, province of Oriente, Cuba. He came to the United States in 1964. He is presently Vice President of Shaw Ross International Importers and Southern Wine & Spirits, the largest wine and spirits distributor in the country. He has been with SWS for 32 years. Among his duties he reviews market analysis information to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules and discount rates. He is also responsible for the acquisition and development of different Latin brands: Aguardiente Cristal and Ron Viejo de Caldas, from Colombia, Fiesta Mexicana and Rey de Copas tequilas, from Mexico, and Ron Flor de Caña, from Nicaragua, among others. He is in charge of contracts and contract renewals and is the main liaison between Central America, South America and the United States. Previous to joining S.W.S. he worked with Procter & Gamble and Colgate & Palmolive in Cuba, Liber Brothers, in Spain and Continental Can Company, in California. He is married to Riama and has two sons from his previous marriage, Javier and Rafael, Jr. He is the proud grandfather of four beautiful girls.
