Fatima Perez is continuously working on developing and maintaining relations with key business, consumer and community organizations and community leaders. As the Local & Corporate External Affairs Manager for AT&T Florida, she is responsible for developing, managing and directing local and state legislative affairs for southwest Broward and Miami-Dade
counties.

A native of Marianao, Cuba, Fatima came to South Florida in 1980. She attended Florida State University and holds a master's degree in Public Administration from Florida International University. Fatima also completed a National Hispana Leadership Institute Fellows Program at Harvard University and a Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative
Leadership in Greensboro, N.C., and received a Certificate in Legal Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University.

Fatima gives back to the community in many ways, including serving as a board member of the Latin Chamber of Commerce of Broward County, Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce, Davie/Cooper City Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Broward. She also is involved with the Community Partnership for the Homeless Next Generation Council, which raises and organizes the Celebrity 5k race, and is a member of the Beacon Council Young Leadership Council. Fatima's commitment and service to her
community were recognized with the 2006 Cystic Fibrosis Diamantes of South Florida Award, and she was honored at the 2005 Hispanic Woman of Distinction Luncheon.

Fatima is married to Gerard M. Fernandez. They live in Miami.
