BoardCesare' A. Ramos | Junior Directors
Chief Operating Officer Cesare’ A. Ramos has had involvement in the Information Technology industry at multiple levels for the past 15 years. During this time, Cesare’ has been able to apply the knowledge and wisdom gained through numerous technology and operational projects in the past, as well as the skills developed in managing service teams.
In 1993, Cesare’ A. Ramos began working with DCS, a South Florida based IT support company, as a service representative. His role was to provide phone support and onsite support for clients on numerous applications and hardware platforms.
In 1995, he followed the idea and started ACFI, his own South Florida based IT support company. The firm was started with no clients, no employees aside from himself, and a minimal budget. By the end of 1996, he had added service representatives and internal support personal to provide optimum support to the clients.
One of the lines of business that ACFI provided was that IT outsource support to technology firms with no or minimal presence in South Florida. In 1999, Cesare’ had discussions with the owners of Inter-American Data (IAD), an Atlanta based IBM Premier Partner, with regards to merging with and becoming part of their organization. At the time IAD was a firm $ 30 million of revenue a year. After numerous discussions, it was agreed to bring over all service representatives and clients, along with Cesare’. Upon his commencement with IAD, he was reassigned to work with the application team of R-FileManager. During this role, he was involved with application support, project management, installations, training, and software testing for R-FileManager. These projects allowed him to work with such clients as Delta Faucets, Mandalay Bay, Monte Carlo, and Badcock Furniture.
Early 2004, IAD corporate was being acquired by a larger organization and the IAD Florida office was not in plan for acquisition. Cesare’, along with Frank Ramos, meet with the current IAD Florida team and advised them of this but also advised that a new corporation would be formed and the operations would continue. All members of the IAD Florida office agreed to join in this new venture. This marked the birth of Interamerica Data Florida, LLC (IDF).
Since 2004, IDF has seen growth in areas not only in revenue but in personnel and presence in the South Florida community. Cesare’s current role at IDF is that of Chief Operations Officer. His responsibilities are that of managing internal operations as to how they affect external operations, service manager, and developing new lines of support for clients.
